Glass House

People in glass house should not throw stone. I'm sure most people know what this means. My version of this however, was quite different. Literally, I stayed in a real glass house recently!

Had an awesome weekend few days back, gathering up my unit team for a nite in the jungle. This place/ villa was made of glass walls. Thank God they limit their creativity on the toilet! The glass walls which extends from the floor up to the roof gives this spectacular view of its plush greens and forest all day and night. Its not all quiet in there, with the sound of crystal clear stream juz couple of steps away from the villa gives a zen-like mood throughout the time...and its one sound that never grows old on you.

But of course, zen has its place and time, having eight of us there would not at all help bring serenity. Rightfully so, its an outing, picnic, let your hair loose kind of a deal..and that's what it was as it turns out. Food was variety and in abundance. Marinated beef slice, barbecued on charcoal heat gets snapped up in record time. Have never seen girls ate that much.. then again, not exactly accustomed to watching girls eat to make any sense of comparison, aside from noticing they matched up to the guys when it comes to volume. That was a start of a great time, when no one put their guards up, everyone just went on and be themselves without fear of getting fat or judged in anyway. Perfect..? There's more..

The games.. Never actually played "charade" before. Practically knew it from game shows on TV and that's about it. But boy it was hillarous! Seeing the poor guy helplessly trying to explain the words with signs and muted expressions have never thought to be so entertaining. Getting the answers just seems like a miracle when no one can actually think straight with all the distractions and non-stop laughters. Somehow we just did! The girls team struggles to make sense of anything and the eternal battle of the sexes can only end with sweet victory for the more primal creation. (I detest any opinion of me being chauvinist of any animal).

And after all that, a game of UNO! I know.. It sounds like a rather nerdy affair but the fact that I'm not anywhere close of ever being one is just the proof that its not. But before that, a birthday to celebrate. The whole scene of the night in the forest, glass house, great company, yummy barbs.. its just making a birthday celebration so fitting and would be long remembered. Here i am saying all this when its not even my birthday, couple with the fact that I'm not really a fan for birthday do's. It was...special, in its very own way.

Even the really long UNO card game could not bring the night down.. It was a moment to sit closer and talk about stuff while turning the cards hoping to out-do the others when ever the odds were better. The conversations covers various topics, from office gossips, latest movies, politics, recent flings, affairs (I'm not sure how we got here) and many others. Its good to hear from everyone.. a truly breath of fresh air.

That's really sums it all up... "A breath of fresh air". Hmm.. Maybe i should change the title of this posting.. Or..nevermind, keep "Glass House".. Or errmm..
